Almost all year around we have access to narwhal tusks, walrus tusks, skulls and oosiks and polar bear hides etc. These are legally hunted by Inuit hunters from Canada, not Greenland.
These items come available through traditional hunt and each year only a very restricted number of each species becomes available to them. These animals are hunted for their meat and the sale of the hides and tusks provide the Inuit people some additional income.
Most of these items require export permits from the country of origin and import permits of the countries they are being shipped to. For example, Canadian narwhal tusks may not be sold commercially within Europe, in that case we can only assist you in obtaining the permits and negotiate on your behalf with the hunters or brokers.
